Former mayor of Philadelphia, the late Frank L. Rizzo, is quoted as having said:

"A 'conservative' is a liberal who was mugged the day before."

It will be curious to see if Breyer moderates his viewpoint a little now that he has had unwanted first hand interaction with the criminal elements of society.
