Yikes! Glad that was okay.

The sad rule of life with horses is that it's nearly always "the big horse" or "the good horse" or "the promising horse" that gets it

This horse might have a little destiny on his side

As well as the loose horse. A chilling reminder of how quickly things can change. Who is the horse that got loose ?

A 3yo maiden filly named Isleta. Well, she's in the footnotes of racing history now whether IHA wins or loses. If he wins, it'll come up every time they talk about his Belmont because it adds to the drama and you just can't script stuff like that.

I don't know, I've seen the video, and it wasn't that close.

Where did you see video? I haven't been able to find one.

But according to this, I'm thinking that maybe you saw the wrong video.

A riderless Isleta, a maiden 3-year-old filly bred and co-owned by the Steinbrenner family's Kinsman Stable, came roaring up alongside I'll Have Another, who was being ponied by Lava Man midway on the clubhouse turn. O'Neill said Isleta grazed exercise rider Jonny Garcia's boot, but did not come in contact with I'll Have Another.

There's no video as far as I know, only a photo by Barbara Livingston that looks pretty close.

Did I not see a video? Maybe it was the Livingston photo. Either way, horses get loose all the time.

Default Amazing

How NYRA was not proactive in having the Belmont horses train seperately from the pack of all condtion levels is puzzling..almost as puzzling as the detention barn policy implementated for Wednesday that resulted in Belmont horses being shuffled from barn to barn... maybe with practice there is hope...maybe...

Racing lost Tin Cup Chalice, only "NY Triple Crown" winner at FL one morning a couple of years ago due to a bolting horse Zany, who also died, colliding. Hope IHA stays in luck.

The exercise rider according to the story felt the horse brush by his boot

You get an idea from those pictures not only how close she came to IHA but how fast she was going when she did it. After what happened to Tin Cup Chalice, I can't help but have a twinge looking at these images.
