Default DOMA in the court

i was reading a book about Henry Clay last week. of course anything about him worth the paper it's printed on will go into the missouri compromise along with other huge debates he enged in during his career. found an interesting point in the book that would apply in this case-and no doubt others as well.
some states wanted to ban black freemen from entering their states. it was pointed out, correctly, that all states are to reciprocate on rights. if you have free travel in new york, missouri or kentucky can't take that from you. seems to me the same argument would hold true with gay marriage.
