I remember Lady of Venice and Panty Raid. Both stakes winners at Hollywood Park.

6 year redboard, but I made a nice score on this horse early in the Saratoga meet. Might even have been opening day. Flew home inside late after a crazy pace in front of him with Castellano up.

I caught Baymont for a $20 win and a very nice triple that summer in a 3 horse blanket finish. Tri was $300. Moorebella was one of the other horses. Schettino trained Baymont.

From memory, a Frank Alexander turf sprinter. Now I will look it up and see how wrong I am

Turns out I was right about everything except the spelling of the horse's name, Sinkwich.

Debuted in 2005, this son of Trippi broke his maiden at Belmont in 2006 on the dirt, switched to turf sprinting later in his career. Finished up at Mountaineer in 2010.

It's always nice to look back. I'm with Vic, I remember Lady of Venice (Friday Night at Hollywood's Stakes win) flying late as usually. She reminded me of her better known stablemate Gorella -Biancone trained both.

Panty Raid helped me finish a nice PK4 on Blackeyed Susan Day while on the air (ATR with SB).

It was opening day. I was kicking myself for not loading up on him.

Jelly Roll Rumble...I chased that hanging rat more times than I care to admit.

I was there that year that D Money won the last race of the day. Was hanging out with Gander and he made a nice score on him.

One of the bad things moving to Roanoke was losing the Southwest Airlines flight to Albany out of Norfolk. Used to score cheap tickets. I just checked prices for flying out of Roanoke for opening weekend and the cheapest is $450. F that.

*Note to BT and Heels...if you are reading this, it does NOT mean I am remotely interested in a day trip. Not a chance in hell.

I remember Rondo around the Kentucky circuit. Once he went to the turf, he was short odds, run off on the lead and fade in the stretch. I think he finally won a couple of races at Indiana Downs. Some of my friends would always "throw him in my exacta and tri" since they are UK fans......don't think it ever went well.

I recall Oedipus Oneil - I believe Gary Contessa trained him as was ok for a while... Nordberg was a NY bred filly who I don't remember doing anything spectacular but remember hearing she broke down at the Spa and was euthanized
