I assume you are running in the Mystic Lake Derby, so why not give the Indians back a little of the money they are putting up for the purse and stay at the hotel at the Mystic Lake Casino. Very nice place and about five minutes from the track. By the way, who is your horse?

The Minneapolis newspaper (www.startribune.com) has a great food section (Taste) that has a search engine for all varieties of restaurants. Excellent reviews, etc.

For a ridiculously simple meal, Minneapolis is the home of the Juicy (or Jucy) Lucy. Excellent burgers!! The 5-8 Club and Matt's have been seen on the Travel Channel.

There are also several restaurants in the Mall of America. I have had great meals at Crave.

Good luck and enjoy!!
