Hope it doesn't turn out to be some religious racist. There are so many "Americans" that hate others for their religion.

Default From OakCreek Patch 20 minutes ago

Several people — including possibly one police officer — have reportedly been shot at the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin, according to police radio reports coming out of Oak Creek.

The incident reportedly occurred about 10:45 a.m. Initial reports said there were four victims, and an active shooter. Mutual aid was requested from other departments to respond to the situation. Some unconfirmed scanner reports say between eight and 20 people have been injured.

Oak Creek police are not releasing any information at this time.

According to recent information broadcast over police radio, a witness to the shooting told law enforcement the shooter was a white male, with a heavy build, bald head and wearing a sleeveless T-shirt. He was last seen with two handguns.

Scanner reports indicated that as of 11:40 a.m. that suspect may still be at large.

Flight for Life has reportedly been called.

Officer doesn't sound to be doing well. Prayers go out to all the victims and hope the culprit is killed so we don't need to have a trial. With a mother of twins who drowned in a tub she drew recently sentenced to no time let's hope justice is served today!

Subject still in building

Some good news! The officer who was shot muliple times is at the Hospital expected to be OK. That officer in turn returned fire and as the police spokesman (chief of Greenfield) said the suspect 'is down and still on the scene' hopefully bleeding out but most likely already dead. Strange way to describe the scene. IMO

Reports have up to four gunmen and police asked for no arial shots of TAC officers indicating they are still on the hunt.

Frader reporting three patients, all critical and there were children inside. More at 1:30pm.

FBI now on the scene.

Prayers are requested by the Sikhs

sorry if I'm repaeating what ^^^^ iggy reported but seven (2 men) one in his 60's one in his 80's dead including the shooter.

12 others were able to hide in the pantry and remarkably those people began calling friends and family to not come to the temple BEFORE calling police to save their own lives.

Looks like only one gunman and he's dead. There likely will be more casualties as loved ones have still not been reached. The Sikh's (pronounced Sik) are freeking amazing. While coming together in support of each other after this tragedy they are actually handing out food and water to reporters and first responders. Great to see non-seek neighbors showing up to now assist them.

However at least in Southern Wisconsin a lot of people have been given an education. They invite everyone to services and free food (even if one doesn't attend the service part) Unlike the quran Sikh Scripture dictates women are equal to men. Women are able to hold any position within the religion. They also believe in one God and he is the God of all people. They do accept other religions and are peaceful however were forced to fight ironically the muslims because of Sikh's opposition to forced coversion to Islam in northern India. Let's just hope this bastard burns in hell for eternity.

Fortunately in this case the gunman is dead unlike Frank Roque who mistakingly killed a Sikh gas station owner in AZ thinking he was a muslim. A jury convicted him and sentenced him to the death penalty however the AZ Supreme Court overturn the conviction in part on appeal and reduced the sentence to life.

Simply amazing. All this talk - CNN, I'm looking at you - about "how Sikhs are not Muslims" somehow seems to say that Muslims deserve being shot, or are more expected to be shot at.

Dinosaur Jesus, save this country from theocrates and religious haters.

The heroes in addition to the cop who shot the culprit dead, turns out to be the partner of officer shot, include two Sikh children, whom upon seeing the gunman shoot 2 in the parking lot ran into the Temple to warn others. Most all were saved by hiding 30 plus, except four inside that includes two Guru's (leaders) another Guru tackled the prick and is in the ICU at Frater.

Death toll is 7, broke out bastard lived in Cudahay on Holmes Ave in a rented room and although the FBI has classified the crime as domestic terrorism local sources report it's due to a bad break up. The culprit reportedly is a veteran.

BTW No longer are they showing the Sikh man who explained the differences between Sikhism and islam which is a shame. However they are still apologizing every time they say Sikh pronouced Sik.

Wade Michael Page is the name of the bastard responsible. He is reported to be a white supremist but neighbors (only at present address since last month) who knew him said he kept that a secret. Guess anti-semetic tattoos are comon in Cudahy, WI. Army Vet (based out of Ft. Bragg) attatched to the psych unit. Less than honorably discharged after being bumped down to Sgt.

His ex-girlfriend (reportedly a breakup he couldn't get over) lived in Oak Creek near the Temple. I hope the Sikhs generosity didn't make them a target.

Another hero is the Temple's founder and builder Satwant Singh Kaleka who came to the U.S. with $30 bucks, worked 16hrs a day six days a week for two years, during which he was robbed over a dozen times and taken to the E.R. in least four of those robberies, before he bought his first business. He expanded to the point he was able to finance the construction of the Temple in lieu of a mansion or yacht for himself, anticipating more Sikh's were on the way. Evidence at the scene (bloodtrail) shows Kaleka attacked Page with his dagger that had blood on it and the subject fled, meeting the two cops in the parking lot. Unfortunately Kaleka's son said his father did not suffer immediate mortal wounds but bled out while police assessed the situation.

This guy's kid (I'd guess about 19) is unbelievably poised, warm and considerate considering what just happened and I think is destined for a huge future.

I think they are pointing out how many Americans have no idea about what their neighbors are doing as opposed to saying "Muslims deserve this."

Ignorance among the population, I was shocked when I heard this was a Sikh temple, made no sense as they are truly peaceful people, my second thought, sadly, was that some horrible excuse for a human thought they were Muslims.
That is the world we live in now.

Please for sanity's sake quote riot with just riot.

No one was saying muslims deserve violence. It's the voices going off in her head again. The Sikh's, you know the victims were the ones saying they were not muslims. What the Sikhs were saying is their religion Sikhism teaches women are equal to men and hold any position a man does in their church. Perhaps the only mainstream religion to do so. They also point out their God loves everyone and there is no such word as infidel. I think Christians and Jews have more in common with muslims than Sikhs do and this is their point. Not to mention they lived under muslim rule for over 300 years and fought and beat the muslims because they were opposed to converting. This is why the muslim/Sikh differences are being pointed out.

I am originally from NJ and very familiar with the Sikh people and their religion, their is a very large population there. I am OK with the differences being brought up too because the majority of Americans are clueless on pretty much every topic.
