I'm like Zito, I'd be so grateful that I wasn't able to see it. Hearing about horses colliding makes you imagine the worst, and it sounds like Jackson Bend looked pretty rough for a few minutes when the wind got knocked out of him. Fingers crossed that he continues to seem fine.

Definitely. I enjoyed this gem they quoted from Zito: "No one can say, 'This is this or this is that or this is this or this is that.' You can't say that.""

Nobody can, Nick.

I remember hearing right after it happened that Little Nick was fine. It sounded like Jackson Bend took the worst of it. All in all, both horses definitely dodged a bullet. The trainer of Little Nick said it was a grazing, but horses don't generally fall down and lay there for a few minutes from a grazing. I guess the point was that they didn't run full tilt into one another which explains how they're relatively okay. Little Nick's jockey stayed on.

Thanks Merlinsky - I had wondered who the other horse was.

Amazing that everyone is okay. Whew!
