WASHINGTON -- A Republican member of Congress equated Planned Parenthood to “slavery forces” and called it a “racist organization” that was “created with the sole purpose of killing children that look like mine.” |

I am pro-abortion, but he is pretty close to the truth.

really?
not here i don't think: “And this president is looking for every way possible to make abortion more available and more frequent, and he wants you to pay for it -- even if you disagree with it. Welcome to another provision of Obamacare. what about this?: pays money to an entity that was created for the sole purpose of killing children that look like mine -- a racist organization, and it continues specifically to target minorities for abortion destruction. Shame on this president and shame on that party.” |

Planned Parenthood hardly provides any abortion services at all. That's simply false.
It's also false that the government funds most of Planned Parenthood. And 100% of government funds are not allowed to be used for abortion. Never. Taxpayer dollars have never paid for even one abortion, be it at Planned Parenthood or elsewhere, since the Hyde Amendment was passed.

In the United States, in 2006, 57.8% of abortions were white, 33.9% black, and the rest other minorities. Oh, the facts. They ruin good conspiracy theories. http://www.abortionfacts.com/statistics/race.asp

States where white abortions outnumber black/minority abortions, and the percentage of abortions that are white:
Notice how many are "red states", which are also those that get the greatest government aid for the poor via Medicaid, food stamps, welfare. As is obvious, abortion is associated with poverty. Greater income and healthcare = less abortion. Which is why, for those of us who do not encourage abortion, organizations like Planned Parenthood, the majority of whose services are providing birth control (abortion prevention) and womens' health prevention services, are so important. Percentage of abortions that are white, by state: Alabama 52.2% Arizona 76.8 Arkansas 64.0 Idaho 94.8 Indiana 71.7 Kansas 77.3 Kentucky 76.7 Maine 93.9 Minnesota 77.1 Missouri 53.2 Montana 87.6 Nevada 82.3 New Mexico 87.7 North Carolina 53.6 North Dakota 89.0 Ohio 62.2 Oregon 87.1 Pennsylvania 59.1 Rhode Island 79.4 South Carolina 52.7 South Dakota 86.7 Tennessee 59.3 Texas 71.2 Utah 83.8 Vermont 97.7 Virginia 57.3 West Virginia 86.6 Wisconsin 74.9

Abortion is poverty and lack-of-healthcare/prevention of pregnancy associated.

You just prove the point that abortion is poverty and healthcare-access-restricted associated, however If your point is that abortion is a deliberate target to kill minorities, please, provide some tiny bit of proof (because if so, someone has to tell the Republican Party that their anti-abortion stance is enlarging the non-white demographic and working against enlarging their party base)

All life is precious, and all babies are innocent and thus should not be executed. The racial angle on this is really disgusting.
Oppose abortion because it is wrong, as is all killing of innocent people. |

How in the world is that not inhibiting the freedom of Americans for the government to force childbirth on women who were raped! Discussing forcing American (supposedly free) women to bear the children of their rapist, or to continue a pregnancy when their life is in danger, is beyond the pale - might as well live in China. Geeshus, cripes! There's a middle ground, and it's line is right at the inalienable right of personal freedom of a woman to control her own body. The line where the government controls my body ends at my skin - the government cannot force me to donate a kidney, they cannot force me to have plastic surgery, they cannot force me to bear a baby. Government-forced childbirth should be fought by every person who believes in America and personal freedom. Abortion is legal. If you want to decrease abortion, you must support organizations like Planned Parenthood, who provide accessible and affordable education, birth control, women's healthcare decisions. This lowers the incidence of elective abortion due to unwanted pregnancy and everyone knows it.
