Default Looks like Zito may open year round opration in Ky.

Just happen to read this on the Bloodhorses web site.
It is not official but it sure looks like Nick Zito is going to open a year round training operation at Keeneland due to the installation of Polytrack.

Yeah, I have been saying for months that trainers LOVE training their horses on PolyTrack. Now racing over the surface is yet to be determined. But I have a feeling most trainers are going to keep their two year olds and turf horses in KY to train. It is pretty easy to ship a horse anywhere from KY.

The momentum of the cushion surface is picking up and I don't think NY can afford to be left behind. For heaven's sake, the inner at Aqueduct should allready be synthetic. Maybe the main track should be synthetic, then use the inner cushion for training only.
