Question Most wins in a calendar year

Something to honor the most wins. I don't believe there is a formal award for most wins.

I think there should be an award for the best most wins thread of the year.

If there were an award who would give it out? Do you mean an Eclipse or more like a Vox Populi kind of thing?

Would there be any qualifying factors or just any race counts and would you be concerned that one or two of the more questionable types would run a horse into the ground for this thing?

Gang,

Here we have a thread starter who has a deviant fantasy about Golden Missile and Sigfried and Roy. His latest bizarre obsession revolves around 'most wins in a year' because a Finger Lakes based horse is in the mix this year.

The only reply so far from a poster who matched his passion when keeping track of dead horses in a calendar year.

We came across this quote earlier today and we thought we should share it here in this most appropriate situation :

"It doesn’t take intelligence to be be critical. Criticism is low-hanging fruit –- it’s such an easy and attractive tactic for an unhappy person." Doug Fields

Please keep this in mind as you continue posting.

Thank you,

This is bullshit, DrugS.

You're Chairman of the Board AND you get to be the Greek Chorus?

Is this reorganization or a coup, your Everythingness?

I thought you were taking over with Stevie's blessing but if you're gonna kill my posts like that do you realize how long the angels thread will get?

I mean you do realize it's almost time for everyones fav thread the Final Farewell, right (I might farm it out to Cardus though).

Knock it off and give me a position.

It's the only way you'll shut me up.

Voting should possibly have been limited to those 18 and older. That would have disqualified Calzone Lord.

Personally, I envision a modest award. Maybe a crystal diamond pendant with the ribbon in the colors of the owner. The horse could wear the pendant in the paddock. Or possibly a paddock sheet embroidered with the achievement
"Derbytrail.com
Horse name
Most 2012 Wins __"

This company offers up to an 8 " crystal diamond at a reasonable price. The Derbytrail.com Diamond Award, if you will, for most wins in a calendar year.

On Friday, we tested out the market value for both Richard and My Miss Storm Cat by letting the GM's at every other board know they are trade bait.

Sadly, we only got one reply and zero offers.

Jerry Brown of the "Thoro-Graph: Ask the experts" forum informed us that he wouldn't give us a warm six pack of cheap beer for either one.

We got lucky in the RIOT deal because PaceAdvantage was looking to add some diversity in their Off-Topic politics folder.

We are stuck with this dynamic duo of Richard and MMSC for the foreseeable future. Please try to make the best of it for the rest of the calendar year when we trim our current posting roster down in prep for the arrival of the 2013 draft class.

No one in the history of DT could do a thread like this...

Pure brilliance.

I am honored to be associated with this thought provoking, slightly wacky, always entertaining poster with the soul of a tiger and a heart of crystal.*

If people are to be gotten rid of I would suggest to the powers that be that they look elsewhere.

Somewhere where there are Stakes.

And braids.

Hmmm.
