Died in Panama at age 13. He'd only been there a couple of months.

Can't find the King's Bishop in the same year either.

Sad to hear of Ten Most Wanted's demise. That was the only Travers Day I've had the pleasure of attending. Apart from his resounding victory, my clearest memory of the day was the eye-catching finish of the 4th-placegetter in the King's Bishop ... name of Ghost Zapper.

He finished 3rd ...

First Trevor blowing the call on Tebowing today, now this.

Ed Burgart might be the clear-cut 3rd best race caller in California, but he is making up a lot of ground on you and Trevor all of a sudden.

Sensational: What more proof do you need that race calling is all about short-term memory ... I've always said my long-term memory sucks!

(If that's my clearest memory of the day, don't ask me what else happened!!)

I don't think I've seen a single article that says why. Even though odds are it's probably one of the more common issues (like colic, paddock accident, heart attack, or anaphylactic shock to what should've been a routine injection), it'd be nice to hear it. I was surprised just how many horses have allergic reactions to shots. They might be doing a necropsy. You'd think for a stallion that age, the insurance company would demand it.

Did we ever find out why Carson City died? I remember looking for the autopsy results and never saw any.

Ahhh...there's a name on those PP's I haven't seen in a while. Good 'ole Clock Stopper. He was a neat horse.

If they aren't saying, it's probably a human reason. Like yet another injection gone bad.
