Default Excellent Article over at ESPN

but one major problem that skips along largely unrecognized has really become a cluster of problems: Most racetrack executives and regulators these days don't understand the game, don't appreciate the sport, can't identify their audience and know very little, if anything, about the product they're selling.

I know a few extremely dull and thoroughly stupid people (even for Erie Youth) who have grown up and appear to be thriving and successful with their marketing background.

I'm sure Gary got a kick out of the morning lines at KY Downs when he was there this meet. Everyday there were 20:1ml horses going off favored at 3:1.
I keep thinking these horrible morning lines would create an opportunity in multi race wagers but, it was like everyone else had the same idea.

Wife watches a show called "New Girl" on FOX. Saw a promo for it where they were at SA. I think it's still on the DVR so I'll have to watch it and see what kind of light it puts the game in too.

They aired the promo during the football game. Dennis Farina was in it.
