He better be careful. Flying over those Rockies can be taxing.

I could imagine there being East Coast-based people who want him to train their horses, but they don't want to send them to California for most of the time because they want to see their horse in person whenever they want.

He has turned down many chances for a larger stable, and not claimers either, he never has wanted the aggravation.

You are probably right about there being more to the story. John Shirreffs is a very conservative trainer who rarely ships anywhere let alone his whole stable. Owners are probably pushing him to move east. The Mosses perhaps

I just really hope we are blessed to get Zenyatta's 1/2 sib in NYC. How thrilling it will be to watch her train.

I really like John Shirreffs as a top trainer who does good by his horses. Would be a nice change for new york to see a clean trainer examples. Too many Dutrows, Rudys, Rices, whom love to juice away!!

Yeah because when I think of clean trainers, California is the first place I think of.
