Fair Grounds seeks racing analyst
"Seeing as Katie Mikolay Gensler will be out on maternity leave this winter, Fair Grounds is seeking an experienced Racing Analyst for its 142nd Thoroughbred Racing Season (Nov. 22, 2013 to March 30, 2014). The job is much more than just previewing each race from the paddock on our simulcast signal, although that is a big part of it. The Racing Analyst also writes an analysis of every card for the website, co-hosts the Fair Grounds Today morning show, makes regular appearances on HRTV, engages fans via social media and serves as a citywide ambassador for Fair Grounds and horse racing. To apply for the position, e-mail a cover letter, resume and clips of past work to Fair Grounds Vice President & General Manager Eric Halstrom (eric.halstrom@fgno.com). Please note this is a seasonal position for one meet only, as we expect to welcome Katie back in November 2014!"

I love the logo and appreciate the endorsement, but I'm too busy.
We have some other very good candidates for it who post here. |

Seriously though...how isn't he an on air handicapper/analyst at some racetrack? I mean the work he does is top notch, and that's just from the little bit you see Doug post now and then. If he actually was interested in it...I can't see how a track wouldn't hire him.
EDIT:Nevermind |

At least look into it. You'd be in a city that embraces characters, not to mention that Fair Grounds' rich history would be of interest to you.

Vince Marinello, a Fair Grounds racing analyst in the 1990s, was convicted of murdering his ex-wife. Witnesses described the gunman as riding a bike and wearing a wig. Officers who searched Vince's Katrina trailer found a to-do note which read, "1. Get gun. 2. Buy wig. 3. Buy bike." The joke around New Orleans was there should have been a 4th instruction - destroy the note.

Make all the jokes you want..... Rhtdbag has 70% profit on 7000$ wagered since May 5th. The $1800 double at Calder on Saturday helped.

Doug would never get out of New Orleans alive. He'd get done in by some misadventure with a tranny hooker, a bottle of bourbon and a muffaletta, and wind up as gator bait.

You don't think a guy with a history of make-believe bets like him would learn not to redboard after all these years? C'mon -BT- !
