![]() 6) Statebred 2X lures Tommy's Turn who smoked a class cheaper after two months on the bench. Double C. 3yo need only repeat that effort to score here but the water is deeper and the rail is in the parking lot; so taking the speed off the fence with Dawasmi who jumps a class but has improved every start this year and will take some catching. Also "Web and "Soldier who have been in the exacta nearly forty times between them. Four deep.
7) Isle of Silver drops some poundage by claiming less, and adding the bug. Valene homey from woeful barn may run these down. Also "Identity from top barn. "Cherry who gets D. Meche and is the speed and "Miracle who will be running late. 4 long again. 8) Cerulean Sky comes off the shelf for fabulous trainer who is batting higher than Derek Jeter for the meet. Behrens 3yo last seen in Hot Springs wiring much lesser, but Norman terrific off the shelf and nothing to beat here, if hes ready he wins. 9) Tough statebred maiden heat but going two deep: Lori's Limerick was not asked for run in her debut and switches to the green for owner/trainer/breeder. Simington stays and this granddaughter of Relaunch runs these down if she is any race horse at all....but adding Gows Top Gal who gets the hood and drops off the planet.. Good cappin. BBB |

![]() Yesterday's sequence featured some solid handicapping with our top selections winning twice and placing twice, but the prize slipped away with some poor decision making. Congrats to the sole winner who knocked down 75 percent of the $5200 pool.
Race 6 saw us go four deep and advance when Tommy's Turn ran to his last at $3.80 although no faster coming in, but cappers like consistency and this gelding now nine for nine on the board. As expected Dawasmi set the pace and had to be played, but neither of the two veterans we played fired. One coming off a vet scratch and the other (Red Soldier) claimed by a former trainer inspite of five 2006 races and five 2006 vet scratches! Race 7 is where we crashed and burned but it was an enigmatic set of circumstances that led to our demise. Andrew Ney entered a clients horse (Raging Red) out of class, but ran his own horse Drew Lil Slew in the following race, in a spot where Raging Red would fit better! We became confused, dropped the ball and missed a $50 horse. Trainer intent indeed! Race 8 Inexplicably, Drew Lil Slew went favored inspite of many, many negatives. Our single Cerulean Sky, as expected, grabbed the track but was nailed late by Leggio/Warren 5yo who was coming off a Beyer (85) that was fifteen lengths better than anyone had ever run, yet paid some $8. Poor ticket construction here as this was always a two horse race. Race 9 Lori's Limerick was made 7-1 in her debut without any stable money and was given less than energetic ride. Boy back up, turf pedigree, nothing to beat, then bet down, then won off. Was never going to have this on a small ticket and no real pot of gold with the small pool. On to Lexington and three pick 4 pots every day. Good Capping. BBB |

![]() Solid call BBB -- Keeneland ahead. I'm going to try to settle some things in life and play KEE religiously. Going down there in person on Saturday to take a look at things.
It's going to be a different story for all handicappers. New poly and at a 8.5f track with symetrical turns. I think we can throw out everything we knew about Keeneland. Played the revised poly at Turfway with limited success. Supposedly it's now the same components in the same quantities as Keeneland. Not a big jockey player but the jockeys do matter now -- those who have raced on the poly and adapted are a +. They would be JuLep, Chilly Willy, Jesus Castanon, and to a more limited degree some of the RD jocks that we won't see at KEE anyway. PVal adjusted quickly to the old poly -- don't know that we will see him at KEE. It should be interesting and the payouts should be huge. |
