If it makes you so mad, call your Representative and tell them to reintroduce a bill to eliminate it (one was proposed in 2011). I agree, it seems stupid and unnecessary today when most of our Representatives are Richy McRich Riches, but the only way to eliminate it is to make it clear to your Rep that you want it eliminated.

Today's Congress and yesterdays is the one who could've done away with it and didn't so I will place the blame solely on them. Also not having term limits is what causes this. Last I looked 89 year old men die, that's what happens. Stuck around just long enough to screw the tax payers some more.

Good luck with the term limit thing since those hurt by the rule would be the one's voting on the rule. This is a hopeless situation.. Glad I am halfway home rather than at the 1/8th pole.

We gave Egypt 5,000 times more than Frank's widow got. Hell we gave 15,000 times more than the widow got to junk a bunch of cars.

Meanwhile if we don't raise the debt ceiling we won't be able to pay our senior citizens next month.

We have term limits. They're called elections.

If you want the death benefit ended, call your Congresscritter and tell him/her so.

You strike me as someone who just likes to argue for the sake of it. Why have term limits on President then? We have elections for them as well....You have to save the people from themselves. Congress was never meant to be a career. Study up.

By the way. Met face to face with my rep in '08 and '09 and have contacted Fed Reserve directly in 2010. Send emails and call my House rep when needed. Thanks
