Default Ice Box and Golden Soul

Following in Ice Box's footsteps. A slop 2nd in the big dance, though Ice Box should've won the race with an average ride(which by the way would have kept Todd 0 for Forever in the derby), and then follow it up with nothing, not even a board finish afterwards. Last week's turf try went over like a lead balloon. Surely sounder than Ice Box who was half a cripple, but GS has simply not improved much off his two year old season. Will be interesting to see if he is able to do anything else or that was it.

Both of these Kentucky Derby 2nd place finishers were aided by insane pace setups. Make Music for Me rallied from 28 lengths back to finish 4th under Rosario the Ice Box year.

No doubt but there subsequent figs aren't even close regardless of the pace...and Ice Box was gone a few races later....forever.

Ice Box stunk... and he made eight more starts after his 2nd place finish in the Ky Derby. He never had injury issues, he always had talent issues.

His finest moment was winning a nose decision over Pleasant Prince in the Florida Derby and paying $43.40 to win.
