Hansen's dam was claimed for $5,000 and she raced at Mountaineer.
Even though he's a son of Tapit, I always assumed his female family would be a turn-off for breeders...if his 3yo season wasn't a big enough turn-off itself. |

he said in the article that he'd bought a bunch of mares to send to hansen. of course, i have no idea how many his idea of a 'bunch' is. and of course it makes sense to sell. what i find funny is his umbrage at them taking the money and running. they got offered a good deal, they took it-it's business.
