Default Tornado Warning

Under one right now but never heard the recommendation to put the bike helmets on the kids. Sounds like a great idea as it definitely can't hurt.

it was probably just a figure of speech but i still have to ask. what in your life was worse than a tornado?

i've had inanimate crap i thought i had fully trained turn and attack me while i slept twice during earthquakes. i'd still take that over what i imagine a tornado would be like.

My good friend was with his family at the Bears game yesterday and he asked people at the entry gate if he was allowed to leave the game and go home right when the warnings were announced. They had the whole place on lockdown and were NOT allowed to leave.

Now, he didn't push it and wasn't dealing with rocket scientists but I still find it odd that they couldn't leave, if they wanted to.

Had a couple college friends that lost everything in Coal City, including one of them that just bought their house 5 weeks ago. (Lived their his whole life though)

.
Couple things, gun to the back of the head during a robbery on the El. Car accident in HS where a good friend died yet everyone else was fine.

I've seen tornadoes in the sky yet never on the ground and would take one of those rather than feeling a gun touch your skull, not knowing who's behind the trigger any day. I know there are some that chase tornadoes. Don't know anyone chasing being held up. Was once pulled out of a car at gunpoint by Chicago PD yet amazingly wasn't afraid at that time because I guess I trusted those behind the triggers.

when it gets bad, you'd be better off not being on the road.

Heartwarming stories, as always coming out of the devastation.

The town of Washington that was hit the worst, have a semi-final State Football Championship game scheduled this w/e.

Their opponent Sacred Heart-Griffin HS met the day after the tornado and will not only send chartered buses to pick up the team and fans but will also feed them before and after the game.

On a separate, personal note: GO RAMBLERS!!
