Default Peter O'Toole, 81; Joan Fontaine, 96; Tom Laughlin, 82

A screen legend.

As great as he was in Lawrence and Beckett, et al, his role in My Favorite Year will always be my go to O'Toole performance. Simultaneously dashing, heroic, vulnerable and hysterical channeling Errol Flynn as 'Alan Swann'...

RIP Peter, one great actor..

My son sent me dvd of Beckett years ago, have watched at least four times.
Imo, one of best acted films ever...Peter and Burton outstanding..and John Gielgud also very good in his role...

Totally agree DJ. I have not seen MY FAIR LADY, no disrespect to Mr. Rex Harrison, but I think Peter O'Toole was mugged to lose the Oscar that year lol! He was brilliant in Beckett!
