Default Super Bowl Weather

8 Days out you get a little better odds of temps and precip...doesn't look to be awful cold like early in the week but chance of snow/rain seems to be increasing. Hope it isn't much.

Yes, it was a bad idea. Those are very expensive tickets to be cold. I could probably afford to go to this game since it is 20 minutes away, but since I don't care about either team I don't see the point.

Wow, it's going to be cold for a football game. They never play football in cold weather!

The people who go to Super Bowls aren't the same kinds of fans that go to the regular games.

Plus it is a drawn out affair. Takes forever to get in, then the pregame ceremonies take forever. Halftime takes forever, etc.

true. but they aren't showing up naked either. and it isn't like they'll have no prior warning about cold weather.

i imagine even the idle rich will dress appropriately.

Love the term idle rich by the way. Of course they cant be too idle if they are from one of the 2 cities participating being that they are so far away. Let's hope they pack warm.

Did anyone happen to catch the Stadium Series NHL game at Yankee Stadium yesterday? Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes played live during the first intermission. Only problem was that the all of the reeds in the wind instruments froze and they had to use Vaseline on the mouth pieces to keep their lips from being fused to the 15 degree brass. Sheer misery.

Bruno Mars / RHCP will be very interesting.

i did. i always enjoy watching brodeur have a bad day-even if it was to the rangers. he said the ice was awful-some excuse, since everyone else playing was on the same ice.

tony and i will be going to the winter classic next new year's day.

Wed night's game should be fun. 13 degrees at night at Yankee stadium to see a team that just played an outdoor game play another (in last place no less) that almost no one outside of Sheets cares about.

It is freakin brutal out there tonight and supposed to get colder. You couldn't pay me to go to that game Wednesday. While I enjoy the Winter Classic one game a year format, this entire stadium series is nothing more than a moneygrab by the NHL.

Default Winner with analysis

i'm going with the old foolproof system for the winner of this years game. Denver is better than Seattle. They barely had their foot on the gas against the Pats. The seahawks will not be extended the same courtesy.

1) Elway/Manning worth about a billion between them.....Pete Carroll and Russel Wilson, don't know how many zeros are in a billion.
2) Richard Sherman's tongue will be hanging on the ground after he has to depend more passes in the first quarter than he does in a whole game. Manning will attack him early and often, cutting the head off the monster. I can hear him now.....I ain't no COLIN Kapernick there son.

Should go over the total as the hawks will not be able to contain Denver. 38-17 Broncos

50 degrees and suddenly the tickets are going for more than last year. Take that haters. Let's have the Super Bowl yearly here in the swamps. http://money.cnn.com/2014/01/31/news...ors_picks=true
