Curious assembly of somewhat talented colts and geldings and a race that is crying out for an alternative view. ML faves Surfing U S A (3-1), Conquest Titan (7-2) and Vinceremos (4-1) are all 'OK', but how much more imposing are they versus the next set of players on the line, Cousin Stephen (9-2), Matador (8-1) or Hy Kodiak Warrior/East Hall (10-1)? As always, pace will be decisive factor here and it sure feels like it's liable to be pretty hot. Comebackers Tuscan Getaway and Coltimus Prime will be fresh and part of the pressure with both Pletchers and you can expect Cousin Stephen and Ring Weekend to be stalking the front foursome. Matador, Conquest Titan, Kodiak and East Hall comprise the back end and will all be looking for a way through in the late stages. Fun betting race and I want value..
