Default Maragh on horses 10/24 in attempt to make Cup

Rajiv Maragh tweeting that screws and stitches came out today and that he expects to get on horses by 10/24. Would expect he makes his Cup assignments yet..

Raj has come through for me in the clutch more than any other jock in history. Maybe the most underrated rider in the country. (In my biased opinion.)

Certainly glad that his recovery is coming along well.

I'm glad he's recovering and wish him well, but the guy is my east coast Kryptonite.

Raj has been good to me as well. He and Irad were the best sneaky jockey upgrades in the colony before Irad blew up this summer.

I think Rajiv Maragh is a good rider. Gary Stevens is not so much a fan of his. He completely bashed him on HRTV post Preakness Stakes. I thought there might have been another Castellano-Borel incident.

Sounds like Jose Ortiz is getting the Artemis mount. Sucks if Maragh is healthy and it goes down like this, but I can understand it.

That's a terrible decision. But, I am also not a Jose Ortiz fan.

I agree. Maragh has rode her to perfection. Getting her outside of the other speed in the Ballerina was the key to that race IMO.
This is what I saw on the homeless handicapper page on FB......

BREAKING: Per @JoaquinTVG, Jose Ortiz replaces Rajiv Maragh on Artemis Agrotera in BC F&M Sprint. More on tomorrow’s “Countdown to the Cup."

This pretty much completely inaccurate.

Yes, you are right it. It was the Derby and not the Preakness.

How long was Tony Black out with his broken arm ?

If he does come back for BC would he have the mojo he had before the injury / He was in a zone and I think it was Hushions take on him then.
