Default bernardini and the breeder's cup

i read that after the breeders cup he will be retired. but will they do it if he doesn't win. i know that the chances are great that he will win...but what if he doesn't. do you think the sheiks will want to bring him back to show how great he is?

I dont see how they are going to retire him, I can see it after he wins the Dubai World Cup, we all know how they wanna win their own premiere race.

this is Bernardini we are talking about, what else would DC prove after winning the BC sprint. They dont care about the Met Mile or the Carter.

Bernardini is a classic horse and they have the horse to win the DWC no way they will retire him.

I guess it's their choice if they want to retire him after a big loss
Marino & Jimmie Johnson did it

They can retire Bernardini and still win the DWC because they have an even better horse than Bernardini in Discreet Cat.

They are not running DC in the sprint. Pointing him to the Cigar Mile then taking him back to Dubai.

I think that Discreet Cat can go 10 furlongs, just not as well as Bernardini can.

According to reports, and other threads on this forum, Bernardini will retire after the BCC.. not DC

This is an unfounded rumor, in my opinion. Remember, NY Daily News reported Joe Torre as out as the skipper of the Yankees in a headline on their backpage! We know how that went.

I did use the caveat "According to reports."

Yeah since he already has gone 1 1/8 and won. I can understand where you would think he couldnt get 10 furlongs.
