Default Playing daily tournaments

Started playing tournaments this year and really enjoy this new way to spend the day handicapping. I play on HorseTourneys.com and have seen some of you there in some contests. It has made me a much better handicapper for sure as you are forced to focus on the winner. Actually do quite well.

Are there other sites?

Do you play them?

Any insights would be appreciated.

Have you tried Derby Wars yet?
They keep to the main tracks running races that day at various entry levels.

Day to day cash games of all monetary levels......DerbyWars.

NHC and big travel tournament qualifiers.....Horsetourneys.

Although, starting July 31st and running for 16 consecutive Fridays DerbyWars will be having NHC qualifier games. (You can actually qualify for the qualifiers for short money in the days leading up.)

I too have found that the contest play has made me a better handicapper and has allowed me to limit my "action" plays, which generally burn cash and really focus on how I want to spend my race to race $$$$ (Maybe 2 or 3 races, $100 per, rather than all of them $20-$30 per. )

I play Horsetourneys Pick and Pray's to qualify for Qualifiers several times a week. Handicap in the AM and lunchtime and put in the ticket.

I play Wed-Sun most weeks. Mostly play NHC (qualified a few weeks ago on HT!), and the big cash tourney qualifiers and tourneys. I also have started playing the daily low roller games ($8, $12, $17) because many of those have smaller fields. I am also fond of the $55 winner take all with 5 people. I seem to enjoy tourneys more than regular play.

I also play some Derby Wars but haven't in a few weeks.

Horse tourneys doesn't list deposit option until you sign up. Does anyone know the options for either site?

I just use my credit card. There's no fee to deposit, they just take their share of the games.

I tried the one vs. one a couple weeks ago. With Pick and Pray, you see the selections of your opponent. Was laughing at his picks as a 50/1 shot he had won the first race! TOAST!

Thanks, man. Hopefully some more DTers will qualify and I can meet some of you. I played as Surfside last week, and it was nice meeting some of the big "tour" players.

Spyder, thanks for the link. I just looked over the site, and I'm going to start playing some myself.
