Default crown&club trivia

I thought maybe you'd know this:

In the film "Stripes", Bill Murray tosses the car keys off what Louisville landmark?

what does the "125" stand for on the Louisville slugger bat?

What Guns n' Roses hit is said to have been written about Louisville?

What is "Denny" Crum's real first name?

In the Grandpa Jones tune "Eight More Miles to Louisville" what is he in a hurry to get back to?

extra credit:
What member of New Kids On the Block started a fire at the Seelbach Hilton?

1) The so-called highest grade of wood. Made especially for the pro's.
2) What?! I thought they were in New York. The Louisville Bridge? Denny Crum Bridge? "Gateway to Hell"
3) Paradise City? (Are You Kidding me?)
4) Denzil!
5) Ohio River?
Extra credit) Donnie Wahlberg

my guess is it was a lot cheaper to film on the bridge in L'ville than film the scene on one of the bridges in NY~but it was the 2nd Street Bridge

pretty darn good

other than, Grandpa was on his way to see his woman (not the Ohio),
you're right on!

it was a quiz of about 50 local questions/ I had 25 correct
but those were my favorites
the horse racing questions were too easy

how many times has the derby not been run in May?
How many horses ran the derby in under 2 mins.?
Who won the first derby and in what year?
things we learned in kindergarten

Those nutty New Kids, whatever happened to those guys?

ok, what baseball stadium was used in shooting scenes from a League of Their Own? hint: located in another city on the Ohio you may be familar with.

the Seelbach is old, ppl used to be smaller, a L went to an XL, and now XXL
I don't know anybody who wears a L, visiting Civil War ear museums I see the uniforms and they looked like they could barely fit on Bejarano. But I do see your point. My favorite writer, Fitzgerald, used the interiors of the Seelback in "Gatsby" in his description of where they held Daisy Buchanan's wedding. They probably didn't tell you this, but just led you to where Wahlberg started the fire...LOL
I have to live all of the places Fitzgerald lived, Montgomery, AL, Louisville, been to the Twin Cities, next stop, The French Riveria!

Where's the Rolling the Eyes Icon?

LOL!

The only movie that I ever appeared in as an extra.....yes one of the so-called fans in the bleachers. Bosse Field. Home of Racine. (and your Evansville Otters). Formerly known as the Triplets (AAA club of the Tigers at the time) a while ago that featured Jim Leyland as Manager.

The Rockford Peaches played in a classic stadium located in Huntingburg, IN 60 miles away from Evansville. That town has sign commerating their envolvement in the movie

Got to meet Tom Hanks - Good guy. Very Social. He was quite impressed with the area turnout and excitement surrounding the production. I said huh?! I replied with they been hounding for people to show up for weeks, and I bet they'll be hounding tonight for people to show up tomorrow.

Question and answer session with Madonna and Geena Davis - what a joke.

But I was about
{................................................. .................................................. .................................................. ..............}
(Ok a little wider)
this close to Madonna at a local nightclub one night on the dance floor.

The kid in the film was from the area. They had the Evansville Premier a couple of days after the actual premier. No one in the film showed up for it besides him and some of the players that were unknowns on the teams. The kid was the only standout wearing a White Tux with tails. Whoopity-a-doo.
