There will be a 123racing.com competition for this Saturday at Belmont. Also there is one tomorrow at the Meadowlands. $600 for first place, $300 for second and $100 for third. Its free to play and NYRA is on board!! (I cant wait til we have Saratoga competitions!!)

The entries are already up on the site, so just go to www.123racing.com and join to play in the Belmont and Meadowlands competitions.

Also, if you add Samm (from ATRAB) to your friends list (attheracesandbeyond@yahoo.com), she will send a 123racing.com cap to you if you finish first in the "in house" competition.

Check it out, its free and its fun (there are already 9,000 people joined on the site). You can win cash, hats, and pride!!

you've got Sharp Humor. And the biggest name is Funny Cide so it'll be action packed.

Point,
Today is a big day for those of us that are involved in NY racing.
If you don't want to bet 'em...that's totally fine with me.
Just enjoy them.
Some days, all we need to do is let the NY breds show up and make believers out of the doubters.
Enjoy!

I understand, I am not one of these breeding elitist's, if another NY Bred Gelding won the Derby, I would be happy...I know these days are big for all involved...

There are a lot of very good horses running today in these races. I especially look forward to seeing what Sharp Humor's return and the Funny Cide-Spite the Devil rematch. But I'm getting ready to leave to go ride my own horses so I'll have to catch the replays. Good luck to everyone who is betting and enjoy some of these wonderful horses and this great day of racing.

Point,
I hear ya.
I'm not a "breeding elitist", what ever that is.
Just an owner/ breeder. Little guy.
Today, some of the ones I've followed get to "strut their stuff".
Plenty of value for the bettors/cappers...but if they want to pass it's really ok.
For some of the farms that I connect with, this is a very big day.
Enjoy!
You might just catch a 2yo that does something much bigger later on.
Good luck if you cap 'em.

i see Organizer won the Empire Classic. His sire, Raffies Majesty, is one hell of an underrated sire. Super stamina pedigree with one of the greatest German sires ever as his broodmare sire, Surumu. And name me one other sire that has Hyperion (5x5x5) as the top influence on the linebreeding chart.

Sumitas,
Lots look past NY stallions. Cormorant says it all.
Nice that his blood is still here.

I got to see a couple of races today. What a great day for New York racing. There were some very good horses competiting today and as always Belmont looked awesome.

But what happened to Bad Boy Rising today. I really liked this horse and thought he could have a good future. But it was like he hit a brick wall. I hope it comes out of the race OK. Also, Funny Cide looks awful. He went wide but had nothing in the tank. Sharp Humor looked OK today. Got caught by a very good horse. It was good to see Sharp Humor run very well. Looking forward to seeing him perform in 2007.

It looked to me as if Bad Boy Rising wasn't taking to the track or was injured (HOPE NOT!!!). He was struggling way before the stretch. In fact, he was struggling and running bad during the entire race!

I actually was impressed with Sharp Humor's return off of the layoff. He looked really good to me today and will improve off of this start. I don't see him going anywhere but forward. He validated to me today that he is a very good horse.
