Default SweetNorth Back With a Win

Looked "A" ok today. Supposed to win, but he did it well. He will be heard from in a big way next year. Like to see him in the Met Mile.

My thoughts were to go West. Throwing him to Discreet would be cruel. Maybe point for the Fair Grounds stakes?

1-20 today.. According to Steve Haskin on the show tonight only the 4th horse to go off at the price in the modern era...

Exceedingly doubtful Trombetta and Co. go West.. He said the other day he hasn't looked beyond getting Saint back and through today.

i figured it must be Laurel and just watched the replay. Nothing but a work out really. Its so good to see him back in action.

One complaint though is Dominguez looking back several times as if he is worried about being overtaken. There were only two competitors and they were hopelessly over-matched. He should have had the confidence to not look back and just ride to the wire. It's not like this was some big stakes race with lots of money on the line. Face it, if SNS got overtaken in the stretch against two allowance horses there are bigger issues than the rider.

Its just one of my pet peeves when these jockeys have to take several big looks backward to show how in command they are.

exactly! you're doing a job, no horseplay. (no pun intended)

You should hear me scream when the jockey on my horse starts looking around. "The wire is in front of you you idiot!!!!"

Not Trombetta's M/O to go West...I am guessing they will consider the Met Mile (2nd money is pretty good and Discreet hasn't been challenged yet, if SNS looks him in the eye, he could fold) and if they don't do that I am guessing they look at Oaklawn/FG/Gulfstream...If you base out of Oaklawn you could ship to either....

I'm just glad to see this nice horse back. Sharp Humor should be back soon, too.

I cant believe there were only three horses in the race! I mean, the third place horse made very close to $4,000 just to "gallop around" according the the charts. Lucky horse! I want to make 4 grand to jog.

If by "modern era," he means the past four months.

I doubt the head west with him. I think they will stay on the east coast. They could try the Mountaineer Mile on Nov 11th. Or they could try the Stuyvesant on Nov 18th. or they could try the Clarke.
