S2S: like all but T Baze....too inconsistent for my money! I think he battled injuries this year....so he seemed spotty, imo

Leparoux belongs too, tho still an apprentice. Won too many big races not to be there. |

2) Leparoux 3) Castro 4) Lezcano I realize that leparoux has won more races and money than Jara has. But his connection with Biancone and the ability to get out there and ride 9 good aniumals a day early on gave him in edge in both results and experience. Every good jock I ever spoke to was unanimous in their belief that they never learned a damn thing riding hopeless longshots. The learning comes from being put into situations enough times with good horses that you learn the fine points, in other words you can't practice driving a Porsche in a Volkswagen. Jara is younger, and started out with no hype and no connections and has now won stakes races for Mott, Pletcher, And McLaughlin among others. Hes also mush more powerful than Leparoux and much more agile. Hes more of an athlete. Hes only going to get better and better and if he stays in NY this winter hes going to challenge Coa for leading rider. Castro is also excellent. Hes going to make the big time at some point and I wouldn't be surprised if he headed West, where there seem to be more opportunities for a young upcoming rider. |

Get rid of Baze and add Migual Mena, best thing he ever did was right the Ellis Park meet...He brought in some BOMBS at Turfway this last meet and he even got to ride for Pletcher down there |

Michael Baze is a better rider than Tyler at this point. But for top young jock in SoCal i'd have to say it's David Cohen.

How old is Deshaun Parker? I'm waitin for the guy to get a better oppourtunity elsewhere... I'm not sure if it's lack of oppourtunity or just a comfort zone at Mountaineer, but the dude can ride.
