Default April 2 Gulfstream -- points picks go here

Please have your selections made by the first post time of 12:00 Eastern. We will be playing the full 14 race card, that culminates at around 6:48 PM with the Grade 1 Florida Derby.

I'll be glad to send Plenilune some high test coffee and energy bars to assist her in scoring this long day at the races.

Good luck to all.

Just looking ahead at next weekend... Whoever takes the checkered flag for this week has an interesting lineup for stakes action!!!! Santa Anita, Aqueduct, and Keeneland all have 5 stakes including their premier Prep for the Derby... Plus Tampa Bay has a card with 6 (SIX) stakes although none are graded !!! I would be leaning toward the Wood card... just saying... LOL

There is precedent for having an all stakes card in situations such as this. LOL (before doing this I think that one should consider the availability of pp's for multiple tracks, whether scratches for all races will be available before our first race and the additional burden it will place on our scorers).

Great option !!! I guess if using the later stakes in the east... One would be able to get the SA late changes before entering ???? No worries any way it goes, but great points JB !

I VOTE FOR AN ALL STAKES DAY!

With the WOOD -- BLUEGRASS & SANTA ANITA DERBY
How could we do just one of those tracks and not include
the other two Derby Prep races?

Oaklawn also has the Fantasy S

Perhaps we could do the best of the best from
Aqueduct, Keeneland, Santa Anita - Maybe even Fantasy S (OP)
With a focus on the three-year-olds, but maybe not the turf races

That's My VOTE and I'm sticking to it.

While it's great to have everyone's sentiments, we are getting a bit ahead of ourselves. We still have to await the scoring of yesterday's contest (it ain't going to be me I assure you), and then await the choice of venue to be announced by our winner.

Not sure how RQ would feel about it but I don't mind an all stakes card for 3yr olds. Yeah, it's a little crazy to score, but I'm pretty much up for anything (except over 14 race cards )
