![]() Tough decision between GP with 9 Stakes
although some are non graded / $75 K vs: Churchill with less Stakes but maybe better horses? GP with 13 races vs: CD with 11 Also lean to evening card and better jockeys (?) at CD Also considered Mother Goose bonus but with just 7 entered decided neigh Confused yet? ![]() Probably should have asked for input opinions cause whichever one I choose there may be some who would have preferred the other So as the wise saying goes You can't please all the players all the time Guess I will choose Churchill Downs and incur the wrath of those who wanted GP ![]()

![]() CT, I don't think there is any danger of your incurring anyone's wrath over your choice. I'm sure that our hardworking scorers will appreciate having only 11 races rather than (gasp) 13.
![]() Besides, even with a bunch of stakes races, the quality of competition at GP during the summer months just isn't close to what we see in the early spring (although I did note that a couple of NY based jockeys and trainers have made the trip). Churchill it will be for Saturday evening, with the hope that some of the runners in the stakes races for 2 years olds will reappear for the Saratoga season. Congrats to you on your win at Santa Anita, and best of luck to you for a repeat. |
