Wonderful rendition of National Anthem....strong,understated and reverent! Best I've heard in years...chills down my spine...and I'm not a CW fan, really

I thought it wasn't good at all. Completely monotone. But at least someone liked it.

Our National Anthem is not what I would call inspiring to begin with. I never have liked it. Its hard to sing, and it just does not have that ... thing. Ever since I was a kid I have asked to have it changed. No one will listen. My dad popped me upside the head, my mom cried. I then moved from an anthem critic to evaluating college fight songs.

1. Michigan
2. Notre Dame

.
Texas (way down the list)

I got hit upside the head again by my dad (A UT law alum) now deceased. And my mom cried. The job of audio critic is tough. Wax and Beauty is in the ear of the beholder.

Do some of you remember the flak Jose Feliciano got for his rendition of the national anthem during the world series. The irony is that if memory serves me correct it happened in 1968 and it was at Tiger stadium with the tigers also involved.
