Quick Question
Will we be doing anything for Friday or only Saturday (hopefully!)
(Other than including Friday in ROI if want to) |

Let's do both days $400 ROI

Keeping with the long lasting standards of this forum, we are handicapping both days with a $200 bankroll to play on 4 wagers total for the 2 days. All on one day or the other or split them as you like but only 4 wagers total for the 2 days.

Don, when you say "both days", am I correct in assuming that you mean just the 13 BC races, and not any of the undercards?

Yes, points picks and wagers only on the BC races so don't waste time on any undercard races.

Also, a 2016 Breeder's Cup glass will be awarded to the winners of the Points and ROI contest. Good luck to all!

OK so I beg to differ with the photo finish. They go it wrong. Sorry . . . but that's just my view which means nothing. Did anyone else really think Songbird's nose was there first under Beholder's? Sour grapes I guess.
But glad for Beholder to go out this way . . . the way they called it. She's been a fabulous race horse. Let's see if the Classic can beat or match that race.

It must have been the angle of the TV camera. I thought the same as you based on the instant replays - thought that Songbird had won the bob. But, they did post the actual win photo, and Beholder had her nose ever so slightly in front. I was hoping for a dead heat so that neither of those wonderful gals would have lost.

Thanks JB for validating my meaningless, emotional response. Two wonderful mares and I heard that right now anyway both Behold and Stellar Wind will go on racing next year. All that said, Songbird should be known as arguably the best 3YO mare ever.

Beholder is retiring to make babies in 2017. Stellar Wind, well, there seems to be confusing posts as to whether she will be in the Keeneland sale or race next year. Songbird...may she continue to improve and beat up on some boys next year! |

Happy Ending
I Love Them Both But Have Adored Beholder Longer Of Course
A Dh Would Indeed Have Been The "Perfect Ending" ~ Songbird Has Her Future Ahead ~ As Beholder Retires In Glory So My Heart Is Happy To See Beholder End Her Illustrous Career Standing In The Winners Circle! Additionally, Songbird had an easy inside trip ~ While Beholder had to go 3 wide = which makes some believe that Beholder Not only Won --- but overcame a bigger challenge than Songbird had That ending reminded me of Real Quiet & Victory Gallop! Winning By A Kitty Whisker! |

Plen, thanks for posting the win photo. Is it just the way I'm looking at it, or does Beholder seem to have a longer nose than Songbird?

I just have to say that my daughter and I play in a Fantasy Stable League and we have had Beholder since she was two years old. I always have to laugh because IRL she was sold for $180,000 at the sales but when we bid on her in the auction she cost us $520.000.
I LOVE Beholder so much. I could just picture Richard Mandella's face when the post positions were selected for today's race. Like, "Ok, we got this one!" I have been so tense most of the day. I was practically hyperventilating during the race. And I literally SOBBED like a baby when it was official. I'm going to miss my beautiful Beholder while I am so greatful she raced for many years, winning and staying sound. LOL, my daughter just said the next big horse we look for must finish 4th in her/his first race. Secretariat was 4th, American Phaorah was 4th, and so was Beholder! Who knows? |

OK just one minute now, I heard them say on NBC Sports after the race that Beholder and Stellar Wind were both coming back to race next year . . . or was I just daaaaaaaaaay dreaming?
