Feb 18 Venue . . .
Not much that exciting out there, so I'm thinking we take a trip to the Mid-Atlantic and play Laurel Park (a place we don't visit often) with 6 stakes races including the G2 Barbara Fritchie Stakes and G3 General George Stakes.
Not sure how many races or when the first post is with my limited research and sources but more to follow on that. Thanks for playing.

Good call for this Saturday's venue, and congrats on your win.
Since we are playing a race named after her, here's a link to a poem about Barbara Frietchie, a Civil War heroine of the State of Maryland and the Union. https://www.poemhunter.com/poem/barbara-frietchie/ |

Thanks JB for reminding us that there is culture that most of us have lost or maybe never found. My book of American Literature has gathered dust so off the shelf I'll take it must, I to remember days I've read Robert Frost instead of current news we get of nothing more than papers wet.
A reminder to me that once upon a time I actually did read great poetry and prose an actually fancied myself a fledgling writer. Someday again I'll try again to jot a line with just a pen . . . or maybe with a keyboard then . . . how easy to type again, again Sorry folks, it's all JB's fault to get my inner self awakened . . . and now back to the reality of horse racing.
