Default First time at Oaklawn

Wife and I are going for derby ....we're are the best places to sit. Looking for some dining ideas also...thanks for any help.

No bad seats really but make arrangements.. place will be packed. The corned beef sandwiches are as good as advertised.

DeLuca's Pizzeria is a 100% must.. Not pizza good for Hot Springs.. good for ANYWHERE. Owner Anthony is from Brooklyn and has magically landed in Arkansas.

$2 to park in Oaklawn's lots, but you have to get there very early. More parking in private lots across the street and at private residences. I think they charge 10 to $20. I don't think there is an admission charge anymore. I think reserve seating is $4.50 on Saturdays. There will likely be about 70 thousand in attendance. Hot Springs population just about triples on Arkansas Derby Day. Expect long lines for just about everything. If you have an Oaklawn Anywhere account(or maybe other internet betting accounts?) that's a plus. You will be able to bet from your phone or I pad.
