Default Why is Vacare being sold?

Im sure many of you have noticed my love for Vacare after seeing her maiden breaker live @ AP this summer. My question is why is she being sold? Is this an example of the "sell high" theory? I know she is 4-4 lifetime and is getting better with each race, but why sell now? She could be very special on the track and off.

Just looking for some info from you guys who have insight.

thanks in advance.

i notice a really funny trend here. i know that anyone who has seen her race thinks she is immensely talented -- but that everyone who saw her maiden breaker live at arlington likes to tell that story alot. i'm one of them.

i can't talk about her without talking about being there for her maiden breaker and knowing that i had just seen something incredibly special.

it seems that those who were there that day have a strange and intense connection to her....just thought i'd throw that out there because you sound just like me up there

she may not be sold, if nobody meets the price she goes back to block who was planning on training the horse lightly up until the sale. either way they were doing the right thing by not putting her in the BC! im like most and would love to continue to see her on the track, shes looked scary good thus far and still is learning and has upside!

why? the almighty dollar, that's why....odds are better if you get a big payoff from a willing buyer, rather than hope your good fortunes continue with one horse. a lot of people get offers (you never hear about, since they turn them down) and turn them down, and the next race their next 'superstar' shows he was a one hit wonder--or other things can happen....believe me, those who reject those 5-6 figure offers many times live to regret it. there are a lot more of those out there than the ones who make the big time with their original owner.
also, remember the story about the two guys who got second mortgages and bought she's a devil due? offers the whole time she raced, and more to buy her as a broodmare. they turned them all down--she died from foaling complications.
