They were the first to offer the trifecta in the NE and asked comission for a high takeout because it was a new bet and had a higher fee from the tote companies. Also, they didn't know whether it wouldever be a viable pool. 40+ years later, the wager, and takeout, remain. The super takeout was approved as merely the same as the tri.
