I just read somewhere Anthony Head wants to play Giles again in some kind of Buffy spinoff, and that there are talks to reprise Buffy on FOX

Oh, how I wish that were true! Rumors constantly circulate but doubtful unfortunately! There were thoughts of several spinoffs using the following characters: Willow, Faith, Giles, Illyria, and Spike. The idea of at least a Spike movie for TV if not a series seemed to have a chance but the networks haven't followed through and Joss is busy making movies (Wonder Woman and Goners) and doing Buffy comics as well as other comic stuff. SMG is very busy so getting her back for Buffy is unlikely unless it's a movie, Aly is likewise busy with How I Met Your Mother and other projects, David really seems to have no interest in reviving Angel especially with his work on Bones, Eliza was doing stage stuff. Amy has been on a lot of shows as a guest star but would probably do Fred/Illyria if it came up! James is interested in doing Spike again but has said it has to be soon cause vampires don't age but he does! The show with Giles, titled Rupert was floated in England but nobody picked it up, Tony has said he would do it and despite all his stage work would be available since the TV Pilot of him as a g-ay rock star wasn't picked up!
