Trainers ~ Mark Casse, John Shirreffs, David Whiteley

Horses ~ Blind Luck, Gio Ponti, Havre de Grace, Heavenly Prize

Voting Rule Change ~ Voters can still choose as many as they believe deserve induction, but this year the Hall of Fame has tweaked its rules to allow any candidate who receives support from more than 50 percent of the voters to get in.

Shouldn’t the minimum vote required be higher? I have a problem with saying someone is hall of fame worthy if half of the voters don’t think you are. I personally feel like anytime you have to go back and reference someone’s record or accomplishments, they probably aren’t worthy.

I couldn't agree more. It's like we are desperate to laud praise in this industry.

Maybe they need to tweak the system somehow since we've run the gamut on most of the 'historical' entries. Perhaps voting/entries every 10 years or so... and really it should be *no less* than a 2/3 majority vote.

I think Blind Luck, Grace and Gio were really nice horses, but HOF? Eh.

That’s a horrendous group of “Hall of Fame” jockeys.
