Default October 13 Woodbine Points Picks go here

The banner ads read, "The World comes to Woodbine", and that's where we will be on Saturday for a race card that features the Pattison Canadian International and the E.P. Taylor Stakes.

We will only be playing Races 1 through 10.

Please have your selections posted not later than first post of 1:00 PM Eastern.

Good luck to all and thank you to Plenilune for scoring.

OK "disastrous" is a little over the top, after all this isn't real life. How about "mind boggling" . . . then again this is a common occurrence in this sport, right?

I think these races are a bit of a rehearsal for the Breeder's Cup Turf races where there will be a mixture of European and North American horses for the most part. The one thing I hate about trying to handicap the euros is the lack of certain info. There are no pace figures. Pace figures are not the end all/be all, but they can be helpful. Not for nothing did the old timers say "the pace is the race." Of course they can be misleading too. I was convinced yesterday that Starship Jubilee was going to blow them all away based on the fact that he seemed to change his running style in his last race and posted a big figure when he came from off the pace, but he didn't yesterday. Went right to the front.

Yes lack of info on the Euros and other non USA horses makes it very difficult unless your Enable!!!!!!!!

You're right about that. She will likely make a good single for the horizontal bets, but I don't generally play any. If I did, as great as she is, I could still probably get her beat!!
