Los Al on Saturday gave up more than a few winners but not a whole lot of profits. Cal was the
closest profiteer with two consolation pick 3's. El Prado had a winner in race 7 with Joly and
Don cashing their Pick 3 tickets in races 4 and 7 but none of the above could manage to show
an increase in the bankroll. The onliest player to take Los Al down was our point scorer
Plenilune who was on point in race 3 with a $50 win bet on Optimum who payed $7.80 to
win and returned $195 to our week 4 ROI winner. Congrats on the win Jane. Nicely played.
Following are the unofficial results pending any objections. Check your scores cause there
were a few scratches and a consolation payout. Who will be the first player to try the new
"Roulette" wager at Santa Anita starting December 26th? While it may seem gimmicky if
you don't like the ML favorite it could be interesting. See you all next week wherever Cal
ships us.

WIN... Plenilune... +$95.00... r3 $50 W #3 $7.80 X 25... $195.00

El Prado... -$25.00... R 7) $30 w #6 $5.00 X 15... $75.00

Joly B... -$27.60... Race 2: $1 Pick 4 6-3-5-1... $68.40

Don Guido... -$66.50... R 5: $5 pick 3 1,6/1,2,5,6,8,/2,6... $13.50

Cal828... -$78.40... R5 pick 3 $7 1//1,5,6//1,2,4,6... $18.50
$1 1,6//1,3,5,6//1,6... $2.70

Roamin -$100.00

NJ Stinks -$100.00

Ruffian -$100.00

Real Quiet -$100.00

Much as I would like to say it was, my score should not be -15.80, it should be -78.40 and so I would fall between Don and Joly. I had 8 consos at 2.70 which would total 21.60. El Prado would be closest to being profitable, I think or did I add wrong.
I was no great mathematician in school. I think I had a math phobia. Very strange because my Aunt was a math teacher. Just didn't get those genes, I guess.

I guess I didn't deal with the scratch of the 5 correctly. I just took him out of your array and came up with $68 wagered. Also for some reason I was 40 cents off on your first bet. Fortunately at the race track I would just put my voucher in the machine and let technology take it's course. I shall correct it.

Sorry, not trying to be nit picking about it. I like your way of doing it better for obvious reasons, but I think my way of doing it is the way it would have happened had I made a real bet. I am not sure how consos came about, but I imagine race tracks are just trying to get the race underway without having to have a swarm of bettors coming back to change their tickets.

The cynic in me wants to conclude that they like the conso because it keeps the money in the pool and doesn't require a refund for a scratch. Same answer for those jurisdictions where a late scratch causes you to revert to the post time favorite in a multi leg wager.
