Default Poly horses

Hey how bout them poly track horses they are the real thing...not!!!!!!
Everyone finished up the track, im sure the road to the breeders cup next year will not go through Keenland. Sad but true all athletes get hurt when competing at the highest level possible.

Thor's Echo was training on Cushion track and so was Marysfield. Both winners on the rail yesterday.

Yea training and racing are two different things buddy. No matter who you talk to the last couple of days EVERY horse was training the best they ever had, very few ran a good race!

Although in reverse order, the top 3 horses in the juvie came off the poly.

Asi Siempre was clearly 2nd best, if not first had she gotten a clean trip.

Premium Tap got 3rd.

I don't see how you can make a case that poly hurt them in their preps. More horses who trained on dirt and were expected to run a great performance did pretty bad as well...Henny Hughes, Bordonoro, Siren Lure, Too Much Bling, Cash Included, Scat Daddy, King of the Roxy, Sun King...need I go on?

If anything the BC proved that poly form isn't as different from dirt as people were making it out to be. Asi Siempre handled the dirt just fine after everyone was chalking up her Spinster performance to the poly. The only difference was last time Happy Ticket got the terrible trip and this time she did. The horses that sucked on the poly like Spun Sugar sucked again yesterday. It's No Joke beat a solid field in the Ack Ack.

Cannot take a thing away from poly training or poly preps. Indeed, had the races been run on poly yesterday I believe all would have survived.

Nafzgar is pointing Street Sense to the Bluegrass, which will be on Poly, b4 the Derby. Provided they get that far. He is very old school, and doesn't seem at all concerned about switching back and forth.

And why should he. It's a good surface and it's the same for all. And SS comes from off the pace which can't hurt at Keeneland the way it's played so far.
