I'd get rid of the Triple Crown delusions as she isn't that great on dirt. She's good enough to win the Kentucky Oaks but not the Derby especially not as a front runner. They should keep her on the turf until the Oaks and after winning that point to the Grand Slam of Grass races against the boys.

She is probably the "BEST" money maker of any we saw Sat. Stud value not considered she will out do all the guys.

If you mean on the track, I doubt it, she's okay on the dirt, but better on Turf and the money is not in Turf racing...

I think the connections would be wise to keep her on the turf. It is highly unlikely she will win another significant dirt race. First of all, she set a slow pace, on the inside on a strong rail, and still ran an unremarkable final time against a VERY bad field. The likelihood that better 2YO fillies are not out there is very slim and the winner of the Pocohontas the prior Sunday is already a better and faster horse ( though with possible distance limitations ).

She was the most inconclusive BC winner Saturday.....candy trip versus a terrible field. Good luck to her on the dirt in the future.

Unless something emerges in the spring what from this crop of 2yo fillies could possibly scare you away from the Oaks?

I would be lying if I said I have really paid that much attention to the 2yo fillies overall, she won, but it was not very impressive and there's most likely better out there...I haven't rewatched the race, but what kind of trip did Octave get, did she hug that rail as well, she's one that didn't figure at all to me...

Thanks for posting that Buffy. I hope she never races on dirt again to be honest with you.

The DOA I saw at Colonial this summer runs and moves TONS better over the grass. I would love to see her stay on the grass and come back to Colonial next year for the Turf Cup and VA Derby. She already beat the boys at Woodbine and there are not too many 2YO turf colts right now that have impressed me a great deal.

Four races, different surfaces, different racetracks, different winning runs. For all anyone knows, she'll just keep getting better.

I thought that would make you happy! I like this filly a lot. Will she be my new fave filly if Gorella doesn't run next year? Hmmmm...
