![]() It was Travers Day at Saratoga and the stars were out. More than half our players cashed tickets
but making a profit didn't mean that you collected any points. Plenilune had a win ticket on Code of Honor, collected $170 but didn't make the top four. The horse of choice of course of course was Mind Control at 10-1. Cruzan placed a $25 win bet and finished in the Super spot collecting $285 on his ticket. Indian Hemp finished in third by going the featured route. He had $50 to win on Code of Honor matching Plenilune but added an exacta with Tacitus to edge out Cruzan for the show. Ruffian put $30 on Mind Control to nail the place slot with a total return of $342. Once again the runaway Travers Day winner was the sizzling hot Roamin who put his entire bankroll on Mind Control to win and once again broke the $1000 profit threshold. That's two plus thousand dollar days for Tom this year and he continues to lengthen his ROI lead on our small but select field. It seems most weeks Roamin is zeroed in on a live longshot. Congrats on the win Tom and kudos to the kashers. Following are the unofficial results pending any inquiries. See you all next weeks wherever Joly B ships us. Congrats on your points win JB. WIN... ![]() Thanks for scoring Pete, but I originally made a choice in the 2nd race and Ruffian let me know we were not doing that race. That is when I changed my choice. So I have to say thanks to Ruffian.

![]() Don't check out of your hotels or leave the B&B where you had enjoyed Travers weekend. We're going to stay in Saratoga for Woodward Day and then let the place close down for the season.
Congrats to all of those who saw real value in Mind Control and pegged Shancelot for a severe bounce. That was one of the best of Saturday's many exciting finishes. Shancelot's jockey had a look of panic, knowing he was out of horse inside the 1/16th pole and looking as if he might have to jump off and carry his horse across the line. Johnny V. showed why he is in the HoF, using all of his experience to find the wire ahead of a very determined Hog Creek Hustle. Roamin, have you ever considered conducting seminars on how to spot a live longshot? There are many who would pay dearly for such insight. |

![]() Joly B, I wish I could have an answer for that. But if you know as well as myself. All the years I have been betting horses which is over 60 years, I will never get even but its fun to keep trying. If I was that good I wouldn't have to worry about Social Securty. lol

![]() Then there's the other end of the spectrum: myself, Joly and DG. I'd call us the 3 Musketeers, but we bet more like Mouseketeers. Surely, there is a big day coming for the 3 of us. ![]() ![]() |
