Default O/T Arlington-what were the parents thinking?

A beautiful Sunday family in the park day where most of the kiddie attractions sit along the top of the homestretch.
A horse has a catastrophic breakdown and some actually ran with kids in their arms to the rail to watch a horse thrash and suffer up close.
I thought maybe it was these folks first time to the track and didn't realize what was taking place.
Then in the very next race two more horses breakdown and one so bad it has to be destroyed on the track. Instead of shielding the kids from what was going on several fathers put the tikes on their shoulders to actually attempt to peer over the top of the sheet to see what was happening. What the hell is wrong with these imbreds?????

7th race scav....I totally agree with you dell i can't believe parents were actually going down to the rail with their kids. The second breakdown race was terrible. James Graham did a great job of keeping the horse on the ground to minimize its suffering for the one horse. The breakdown happened right infront of me, women and little kids crying and one lady screaming their dead. I heard a couple people say they are never coming back too.

they need to get control of the children out there, they aren't going too, though until someone runs onto the oval and is trampled. this is not a rzce track feel, its more of a trip to the beach or the zoo, too many moms and kids running loose, thats fine that they are there, but they need to put them in a section away from truble.
what would happen if a toddler ran onto the paddock and a horse reared up and stomped him ???

I don't think a kid would ever go on the track or get into the paddock and get stomped....but I can see some animal getting lose from the petting zoo and getting onto the track...that would be bad. A couple got lose last year but luckly didn't get onto the track. I think one was a goat.
