![]() Of the few tracks in the country that are still running, the card at Oaklawn appears to be the most interesting one for this Saturday. It includes both the Oaklawn Mile for horses 4 and up and the Oaklawn Stakes for 3 year olds. The winner of the latter earns an entry into the Preakness, and the top 3 finishers get an entry into the Arkansas Derby.
Virtually every race on the card has a full field, so I suspect that picking winners out of all of these races may be a real challenge. I'd like to limit our contest to only Races 3 through 12. That should be more than enough to keep us busy, even with some additional time on our hands for those who are sheltering in place. Post time for race 3 will be 1:39 PM Central. |

![]() Race 6 at Oaklawn was just completed. Mr. Santana rode #8 Icecap for his main man Asmussen. He is listed in the entries for tomorrow and Saturday on a number of mounts.
If you remember a few weeks ago when he traveled to the Fair Grounds for LA Derby day. Upon returning to Oaklawn, he was quarantined for a period of time. That has been completed and he has resumed riding. |
