Default May 30 Churchill Downs Points Picks go here

Cal and Real Quiet have collaborated to select as our contest venue Races 2 through 11 at Churchill Downs. Please have your selections for the points contest posted on this thread not later than 1:30 PM Eastern time, the scheduled post time for race 2.

I'm pretty sure that our contest races will be shown as part of America's Day At the Races on Fox Sports 1 and 2 [they move between the two channels, check local listings].

Good luck to all and thank you to Plenilune for scoring.

Saturday's TV listing for this area:
NBC Sports - Trackside Live: 4PM to 8PM

FS1: America's Day at the Races - 1PM to 2:30PM
FS2: America's Day at the Races - 2:30 PM to 6:30PM [since Oaklawn closed, this program has paid a lot of attention to Churchill, with some coverage of Tampa and Ruidoso, which they always mispronounce as "Riudoso"]

Nice to have lots of choices to watch live racing.

I didn't pick #12 in the 6th in the contest, but I looked long and hard at him after the fact. Off the long layoff, good, fast works, positive jockey change, a decent close, and Sadler's Wells in his dam's breeding. Real endurance racing. Anyway, I bet $10 for him to place...yay! $93!

Congrats Alli. It's always satisfying when you do the analysis, come to a decision, place the bet and then get PAID for your opinion.

Tiz Always great with REAL MOOLAH Involved!

I had a lot of those moments years ago
I went to a Private Turf club Every Saturday,
playing five tracks all day long
~ usually coming home with more money than I started with

These days it’s all “Hypothetical money “
... but still exciting to win anything

Loving A “SECRET MESSAGE” Both In Life + Horses
This Mare Whispered to me Loud + Clear

So I Put her #1 In MY Own Contest

Heading to the wire I was not even in contention for Victory
That all changed when SECRET MESSAGE crossed the wire first

Always Wise To Listen When A Horse Whispers To You!

Very nice play in a difficult race to decipher. I don't think I would have had the winner had I played 10 of the horses in the field. Turf races always seem like the hardest ones to me; however, Saturday's card had few easy races from about the 5th race on.

Alli, I don't see your bet on the ROI thread. Is it somewhere else or am I missing it? Nice bet but where is it???

I think what Alli is referring to is a wager she made with real $$ through an ADW account - much more satisfying that with cyberdollars.
