She's also the richest person in U.S. Congress.

Seems this article might, could be, and in all possiblilities should stand all necessary scrutiny. Look at those that are making the accusations. "Critics", "they", Melanie Sloan (CREW), and one "anonymous" Democratic House member. With finger pointers like that, Murtha might not stand a chance against the unnamed accusers. DTS |

dts,
I'm no fan of most of the ousted Repubs, but you certainly can't believe none of the Democrats have their share of dirt under their fingernails. From what I can see and know, Pelosi is a fist class bittch who holds a grudge with the best and is very loyal. So, while there's risk, she's sticking with Murtha. People understand it, I think, for what it is. It will be interesting to see what she does with the Intel Committee. If she skips over Harman and goes with Alcee Hastings, that will be interesting. Though he was acquited of soliciting a bribe of $150,000 in court, Hastings was impeached and removed as a federal judge by a Dem Congress in the late '80's. It's interesting to watch, I think. Pelosi might not have been too bad looking a gal in her day. |

Plenty interesting to watch. Plenty of "dirt under the fingernails" too. More than enough to go around. DTS |
