![]() Considering how Aqueducts main track has been disintegrating and is now closed until the Cigar Mile weekend, what are the chances they'll scratch Discreet Cat? I can't see them taking a chance on getting injured when the Dubai races are the real goal. Opinions please? Thanks, Deb

![]() Deb they will work long and hard to fix the track. Thats the last big weekend of the year in NY, and they will do what they have to do to fix it. Its supposed to be relatively clear next week anyway. They will have the track ready and he will run.

![]() Thanks. My first thought when I heard they had closed the track was they didn't want to jeopardize losing Discreet Cat. It's a race fans are waiting for and should draw a good crowd. Deb

![]() I think the switch to the inner this weekend is not wholly unrelated to next weekends big races and especially Discreet Cat.
The perception of the problems with the main track are greatly overblown. Two trainers, Rick Violette being one of them, said the track was fine when they trained on it the morning last week when they ended up cancelling. Contrary to erroneous comments made here, the Aqueduct main track is a very good surface, and it should be absolutely fine next week barring horrendous weather. |
