Default ROI Results 5/8 @ Belmont

The scores in the ROI came back down to earth at Belmont this Saturday but we did have
two players that showed a profit and collected some points. Channel Cat's nose derailed a few
wagers
but for some unknown reason Ruff wasn't on it. Indian Hemp gets the place spot with his win
wager on the aforementioned Channel Cat. The $18.40 win price returned $138 to IH and got
him profitability. The weeks big winner was Don Guido. For a guy usually on his "points" game,
Don is having a pretty good year in the ROI taking down win # 3 on the season so far. Don hit
a $25 exacta in race 6 featuring Harvey's Lil Goil with Lemista second. The total return was $207+
which is not a bad days work. Were you a Honeymooners Fan DG? You sure racked up a
good win. Nicely played. Following are the unofficial results pending any infractions. Please
report to the detention barn for testing DG. What's good for Baffert is good for us. See you all
next week where we will get our Preakness fix.

WIN... Don Guido... +$107.50... R 6: $25 ex 1w/2-3-5-6 $8.30 X 25... $207.50

PLACE... Indian Hemp... +$39.00... R 10 $15 Win 5 $18.40 X 7.5... $138.00

“Channel Cat's nose derailed a few wagers

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=-=
HERE’S WHY

BECAUSE I NEVER PLAY A HORSE WITH LESS THAN 12/1 ODDS IN ROI

CHANNEL CAT = ML 10 /1

HOWEVER
YES “THE CAT” WAS INDEED MY #1 PICK IN THAT RACE
Used In Other Contests

Never Saw A “CAT HORSE “ I Didn’t Love

STORM.... MOUNTAIN. .... TALE OF THE CAT ... KITTENS JOY

I admire you guys that pretty much bet the same way every race. Consistency is a good thing. I just haven't been able to practice it much. I made myself a note after that race with Channel Cat to try be more consistent. I guess we'll see whether I can or not. My first impression was in looking at that race was that Channel Cat was very impressive. I think he had 7 or 8 triple digit figs which was far more than any other horse, but he also had only a single win in 10 starts so a bit of a mixed message. Anyway, I Gufoed up and chose Gufo on top. Which could have still been ok had I only chosen to reverse that and put my other picks over Gufo too which I often have done, but didn't this time. These are the kind of dumb little mistakes that take your play down, but what can you do, but resolve to do better. Nice win Don Guido!!
